5 Ways to Say "I Love You" While Social Distancing

5 Ways to Say I LOVE YOU While Social Distancing
that are even more powerful than just saying the words

Whether you are standing 6 feet apart, seeing loved ones between panes of glass, or connecting on zoom, these will all say I love you in very profound and creative ways.

Say I love you with your eyes.

I know, it can be super uncomfortable at first because looking into someone's eyes is not something we do. In fact, we avoid eye contact.

Standing 6 feet apart, gently gaze into another person's eyes. The longer you can hold the gaze, the deeper your connection.

It is fascinating to watch how you both will eventually let your guard down, and really begin to see the love and experience the depth of another person.

Play charades.

Act out the motions of love—hugs, holding hands, even a deep sigh and relaxing.

What about giving a gift? These physical gestures will make people laugh and engage them on a deeper level. You are actually more interactive and less passive than when you just say the fleeting words of "I love you."

Send someone a song.

Music speaks to our hearts.

Often times a song or a poem can say so much more than you can say with words. Music involves the entire body with sound, emotion, and vibration. It also demonstrates that you have gone the extra mile.

The entire time you are searching for the perfect song, it brings up memories, emotions, and you get to express and experience joy in anticipating how it will make them feel.

Connect online with video.

video conference, connect online

You can have bridal showers, family game night, happy hour, therapy sessions, cook a meal together, or have a good old fashioned visit. Get creative.

Taking the time and making an effort to connect says I love you in a very kind and loving way. It is like no other.

Send love using your heart.

hands, heart bubble, love

When you open your heart and tap into its power, the love it can send is enormous. It can literally be out of this world.

When you intentionally send love from your heart, it will change the electromagnetic field around you, which you can expand into other people's homes and lives, all through the intention of sending love with your heart.

I guarantee that the person you are sending love to will feel it.

When people know they are loved, they feel better, their spirits are uplifted, and they are better able to heal. Now, more than ever, people want that person to person connection. When we can, I know we will be giving big hugs, but in the meantime, the above examples are very powerful ways to say I love you.

The love that I send to all of you is a statement of hope and the wish that the times we are in be a time of growth.

We can become complacent in our words. These ways of saying I love you are powerful and timeless. I hope you will choose to continue these practices and show your love in more ways than what is possible with words alone.
