Over the past couple of years, there has been an increased exploration of empathy and highly sensitive people in our mainstream pseudo-science and social psychology realms. With these categories and terms coming out, I feel it is important to talk a little more about the difference between being empathic, psychic, and highly sensitive, and more so what we should do with the information and sensations that we are now becoming privy to.
Magic (magick) has been around at least as long as written history and possibly longer. There was always that one guy (or gal) who had the power of mysticism. Helping the pharaohs, birthing babies and healing the sick. Though a shadow has been cast on it in the past, women are now reclaiming their intuition, their power of knowingness. They are looking to get back in touch with their wild side, that moved with the phases of the moon and created, or sought out those who created their own magic. Are you ready to start creating yours?
Looking after yourself isn’t selfish, it’s sensible and necessary. Taking time out for yourself, without feeling guilty needs to be an important part of your life. If you are feeling stressed to the max, snappy at home, grumpy at work, feeling tearful, short-tempered, keep injuring yourself, all of these are all telltale signs that your life is out of balance and that you need to start doing some Self Care - STAT!
According to Indian, Tibetan, and Chinese philosophy – and recently, new modern science – we have uncovered an incredibly lively universe that is made up of energy. Reikiis one of many methods that can be used to activate, harmonize, and reconnect the Self with universal energy. It works with the Hindu energy centers, major and minor chakras, the Chinese (TCM) meridian lines, and acupuncture points within the body. Reiki is universal energy that is made available to anyone who is open to its healing vibrations of love and peace.
Most people are living their life not feeling fulfilled or as if they’re living on purpose. Look around. That’s what you see. Maybe you’ve even felt that yourself in the past. I know I have. I want to help you take your actions and what you’re doing daily and put them into perspective so that you have a way of living your life and appreciating your life at a much deeper level than you ever have. Let’s begin with an exercise that is called “Sacred Money, Sacred Life” designed to help you let go of the things that don't matter in life and focus on what matters most.
Yoga can be a transformative practice, and that’s exactly what it is: practice. When we practice bringing our attention to breath, directing our focus inwards, and witnessing where body-mind-spirit connect, we are learning how to come back home to ourselves as whole. In my experience, yoga has helped me become more connected to my body - it is a place where I get to actively participate with my body: telling my body what I want (manifestation) and listening to what my body wants (body talk).
Ask Yourself - What are the boundaries of my body?
So many of us desire to grow and expand spiritually. We wish to delve deeper. That’s what lies beneath the pile of books stacked on our nightstand, the online classes, workshops, and stockpiles of crystals of every color and size. And yet, only too often we shy away from that next step. Shrinking when it comes to leveling up.
