I want what I want!

It's this way, not that way!

I have to be respected, treated a certain way, given certain things, and people need to conform to what I know to be true and just!

Really? According to whom? Ahhh, yes, our ego, that wants to keep us small and controlled. Our Ego, which is a necessary part of our psyche, motivates us to get up in the morning and work and take care of ourselves. However, when it starts to control us and limit our preview of all the amazing possibilities that exist… well, that's when we should step back and ask ourselves…

• Is that true?

• Why do I believe that?

• What if I let that belief go and allow for other possibilities?

Just give it a shot. Quiet your ego and allow for new possibilities to enter your life... and as you do, see what beauty also enters with it. 🙏🏼

If everyone would just do what I wanted, then I’d be okay….

That statement is what usually leads us to sorrow and suffering. We think that if we can just make people do what we want, then we’ll be okay.

I’ve found that when the need to control another comes up in me, that I need to check my motives. Why do I want this person to do things differently? Why do I think everything needs to be my way? Perhaps I need to rearrange my perspective; I need to see life through the eyes of love.

When I start to see life through the eyes of love, I find that I don’t need to control anyone or anything. I can live and let live... and from there, life starts to change for the better.

Where are you not trusting? Are you afraid to be vulnerable, to let true love in? Here is the thing, if we have anything keeping us separate from spirit, love can seem scary. Maybe we’ll get hurt? Left? Heartbroken? Right??

If we want TRUE INTIMACY with another, we first have to clear the distance between us and our soul, our spirit...which is never separate from Source. Once we clear up our relationship with ourselves- when we reconnect to the omnipotent power of the creator...remembering that we are ALWAYS safe and loved...then, and only then, will we ever feel truly safe enough to open our hearts to deep intimacy with another.
