Is this your Imagination or your Inner Sight? “You have to see it to believe it.” How many of you can recall someone saying this to you? How many of us as children were told that our “imaginary friend” isn’t real? We are animals; we are civilized animals who like to wear suits and play tea. However, at the end of the day, we cannot deny that we receive and exert information through modes other than our speech and body language....our instincts are still deep within us…
When you first meet someone, they trigger everything magical within you. That’s how the early stages of love begin. Should you be brave enough to reveal the real you, then this new love… if it’s real love, will trigger the bullshit within you that needs to resolve and heal. This is the time when lovers run. I know, I’ve run.
Whether it is a gut feeling, an instinctual reaction, insight from a dream, or a certain knowing you just can’t kick, we all have the gift of intuition (yes, that means YOU!). And, if you’re sitting here thinking, “really, all I hear are crickets” or “I know I feel stuff, but I have no idea if I can trust it or if it’s even real”... I hear you, AND I get it. Meet the CLAIRS - the extrasensory perception we are all born with, though some are more prominent than others.
As a Healer, I perform distance healing almost daily. Distance healing is any kind of healing, offered by a practitioner, that “travels” beyond time and space with the intention of providing positive, healing, and therapeutic energy for the recipient. Yes, it’s true: a practitioner does not need to be physically present in order for healing to happen.
Over the past couple of years, there has been an increased exploration of empathy and highly sensitive people in our mainstream pseudo-science and social psychology realms. With these categories and terms coming out, I feel it is important to talk a little more about the difference between being empathic, psychic, and highly sensitive, and more so what we should do with the information and sensations that we are now becoming privy to.
Looking after yourself isn’t selfish, it’s sensible and necessary. Taking time out for yourself, without feeling guilty needs to be an important part of your life. If you are feeling stressed to the max, snappy at home, grumpy at work, feeling tearful, short-tempered, keep injuring yourself, all of these are all telltale signs that your life is out of balance and that you need to start doing some Self Care - STAT!
According to Indian, Tibetan, and Chinese philosophy – and recently, new modern science – we have uncovered an incredibly lively universe that is made up of energy. Reiki is one of many methods that can be used to activate, harmonize, and reconnect the Self with universal energy. It works with the Hindu energy centers, major and minor chakras, the Chinese (TCM) meridian lines, and acupuncture points within the body. Reiki is universal energy that is made available to anyone who is open to its healing vibrations of love and peace.
Yoga can be a transformative practice, and that’s exactly what it is: practice. When we practice bringing our attention to breath, directing our focus inwards, and witnessing where body-mind-spirit connect, we are learning how to come back home to ourselves as whole. In my experience, yoga has helped me become more connected to my body - it is a place where I get to actively participate with my body: telling my body what I want (manifestation) and listening to what my body wants (body talk).
Ask Yourself - What are the boundaries of my body?
